So, it’s begun. Harvest with its early mornings, late starts, country road traffic jams and field meals. As I shared last year, serving a hot dinner to our harvest crew is one way we (my mother-in-law, sister-in-law and I) can contribute to this challenging yet rewarding season. Illinois Farm Girl
I am a farmer's daughter, a farmers' wife, a mother, volunteer and gardener. My childhood spent on Rural Route 2 was filled with adventure, achievement, and a bushel of disappointments. But an appreciation for hardwork, nature's power, sunrises and sunsets keeps me believing that life on the farm is the greatest challenge tempered by the greatest rewards.
